FALCON is a new wide-field, multi-object spectrograph and imager envisioned as a facility instrument for Magellan that builds upon the success of IMACS and improves performance in critical areas, including spectral coverage, throughput, and resolving power.

The workshop aims to bring together astronomers whose research benefits from access to a high-throughput, wide-field, multi-object spectrograph that covers a broad spectral range (0.33-1 microns) with varying spectral resolutions (R~2000-10000). The format will include brief presentations in the morning, followed by group discussions in the afternoon. The primary goal is to identify key science cases that FALCON will enable in the coming decade, generating broader community interest and helping to advance the project quickly.
