Spec-S5 Dark Matter Workshop II

America/Phoenix
950 N. Cherry Ave. Tucson, AZ 85719
Description

We are pleased to present the second in a series of workshops focused on defining the dark matter science case for the next-generation massively multiplexed cosmology experiment, Spec-S5 (https://spec-s5.org/).

This workshop will be held in-person at NSF NOIRLab in Tucson on March 18-20, 2026. Zoom access will be provided, though we strongly encourage in-person attendance since much of the workshop will be focused around small group discussions. The program is still under construction, but we expect a relatively brief introduction session followed by small group discussions and work focused on topics of shared interest. By the end of the meeting, we expect to have made progress on a white paper defining the Spec-S5 dark matter science program that can be fleshed out in future meetings in this series.

Note that registration is required for in-person participation. Payment of the registration fee must be handled separately using the appropriate link on the Indico side bar.
