How to get to UChicago
For those arriving by car:
- There are several visitor parking garages and lots on campus. The most convenient option is Ellis Garage (Campus North), 4-24 hours - $28
- There is plenty of free street parking north of 55th street between Cottage Grove and Woodlawn
There are many public transportation options to get to campus. You can buy tickets at the station, via the Ventra app, or pay via contactless method. From downtown people commonly will take
- Commuter rail: Take the Metra Electric District Line to 55th street, and either walk or take the 171/172 busses to get closer to campus
- Train (the "L"): You can take the red or green lines to Garfield stations, and then switch to the 55 bus to get to campus
- Bus: 192, 4, X4
